It's a beautiful day today!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I've got a self diagnosed ear infection, which stinks. Luckily I had one last summer, so I still have my ear drops so all I had to do was call my Dr and ask if I could take them. He of course said yes. If it's not better by Wed am I have to call back though.

I am in love with ordering free samples. It is a new "hobby" if you will. I can't wait to get my first samples in the mail!! I will update you as they come in!

I guess thats all for right now, not feeling too hot.

Guess what! I'm going to be an Aunt! Can't wait!

In other news we are getting ready for the holiday season! I put out all of our scarecrows today! I'm so ready to decorate for Halloween!! I am making a Halloween tree this year. I've thought about it for a while. We had a small tree that we haven't used in years, so I just finished spray painting it black. My mom and my sisters and I found lots of decorations for my tree yesterday: some garland, stuff to make ornaments etc. Then we made the ornaments during the Notre Dame game. SUPER CUTE! I'm going to post pictures of my tree once I get it up.

Also, I'm currently moonlighting as a "haunt" at a haunted house. Which means, I scare people. We had a dress rehearsal on Friday, and I'm super excited about the following month!

http://www.hauntedhouseofhorror.com is where I work. I think it's one of the best haunted houses I've seen in a while. I am TERRIFIED of haunted houses, so I'm doing this to sort of conquer my fears. I think it may work, because I have to walk through some scary stuff to get to my area, then I stand in a dark room all alone.

Anyways. Keep me in your prayers, I had a job interview a couple of weeks ago. I would really enjoy this company, so I'm really hoping to get it.

New Year, New Blog!

I'm going to try blogging again. Hopefully I can do it once a week faithfully.

This past year has been such a crazy year for us. Hoping that 2011 is a happy happy year for everyone.

Last year Philip lost his job, couldn't find a job for 2 months was underemployed for a long time, and is currently working a full time job @ Hertz. He was hired in October. He will be a full time permanent employee in February which is exciting.

I also learned a big lesson last year. We had our health insurance through COBRA. They received our payment 1 day late. They cancelled us. We appealed twice. We are still without insurance.
Last year my Granny passed. That was/is really hard on me.

I was laid off in October and have been applying for jobs like crazy since then!!

And in the middle of all this I was going to the doctor like once a week. Sheesh. It's been a rough year.

Thanksgiving was good.

Christmas in Chattanooga was Dec. 11. We all stayed @ Phil's dad's house so that was fun. His step brother caught his hair on fire. We went out to eat. etc etc etc.

Phil and I did our Christmas for each other on the 22. He got me some clothes!

Christmas in Bham was fun. We went down on the 23 and ate at Avo in Mountain Brook. It was good food. We did presents on Christmas eve and then we went to a party at their family friend's house. We played family feud on the wii which was fun. We did dirty santa and we ended up with a foot massager, a Anna Lee Santa, a Febreeze Candle and a lepord print high heel wine stopper. (its put up for next year). We drove back that night b/c of the snow coming.

Christmas was good. Granddad came over and we made him a stocking like we make everyone else. It snowed a lot and stayed for days!

Dec. 30 we went to B'ham and celebrated Philip's mom's bday with her. We ate at a restaurant in Mountain Brook. I can't remember the name but it was really good. New Years eve we stayed at my parents house.

I think that's a pretty good recap. We're looking forward to the ball game Monday!!!
